Come with us and discover the legends of Transylvania, as we explore cities with a 7,000-year long history, wonder at unspoiled landscapes and meet warm-hearted locals.
Upon arrival at the airport, meet with guide and proceed to the hotel for check in and rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, meet with our local guide and commence our half day tour of this Hungarian capital, Budapest. See the Castle District. Walk around the Andrassy Avenue. Visit Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion. The next stop is the Citadel on the Gellert Hill, where the best panoramic view of Budapest can be seen. Rest of the day is free until dinner and overnight
Check out and on to our journey to Belgrade. Upon arrival have some free time for lunch. Meet our local guide and enjoy half day tour of Belgrade. Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, is one of the oldest cities in Europe, the city with extraordinary history that lays on two rivers is nowadays a modern city with numerous sights that are worth visiting. See sights such as Belgrade Fortress, St. Sava Church, the River Danube, and more. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Skopje with lunch stop on the road. Meet your local guide and enjoy half day tour of Skopje. Start at the plateau where the Museum of Contemporary Art is located, then to the Fortress Kare, Mustapha Pasha Mosque, Church of the Holy Saviour (with the small museum of Gove Delchev). Continue through the Old Hammam, dating back to the 15th century. Visit the modern part of the city on the right bank of the River Vardar. Before we cross the Stone Bridge, the oldest landmarks of Skopje, see the Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia and the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence, IMRO and the Victims of Communism. On the other bank is the main square with new statues and monuments.
Today, we travel to one of Macedonia’s must visits, Ohrid. Walk through the Lower Gate to the Archeological museum in the Robev family house with some ancient artifacts including a statue of the Goddess Isis. Continue to the 11th century cathedral church of St. Sofia, the Ancient Theater from the 2nd century BC and the beautiful icons at the Church of St. Mary Perivleptos. Get fantastic views of Ohrid Lake from the medieval walls of Samuil Fortress. Visit the burial place of St. Kliment, and the newly reconstructed church of St. *Pantelejmon. Drop off at the hotel, check in and rest.
Today is free for shopping and leisure or you may opt to visit the Monastery of Saint Naum inclusive of boat ride.
Early morning check-out and transfer to Sofia passing by the Rila Monastery. Upon arrival enjoy guided visit of famous Rila Monastery, the biggest spiritual and cultural center in Bulgaria. Then proceed to Sofia for check in, rest and overnight.
After breakfast, meet with guide and proceed with our half day tour of Sofia. Explore the city with 7000-year long history. Find one of Bulgaria's most significant historical treasures. Visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Rotunda of St George, the Russian Church. See the Banya Bashi Mosque and the Great Synagogue.
Free time after breakfast until check out and drive to Veliko Tarnovo. Explore the capital of Medieval Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo. See the Tsarevets Royal hill above the river Yantra. Then visit the Samovodska market place.
Today, we cross to Romania reaching its capital, Bucharest. Visit the House of People or the House of Parliament. Walk around the Old Town of Bucharest and lastly a photo-stop to the Palatul Voievodal Curtea veche, a large palace from the reign of Vlad III Dracula in the 15th century. Hotel check in, dinner and rest.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day on your own. Dinner and overnight.
Check out after breakfast and transfer to Brasov through Sinaia. First stop will be at Sinaia Monastery - called the Cathedral of the Carpatians. Next on our list are two of the most beautiful castles of Romania, Peles and Pelisor Castle with a stop at 1400 m altitude, to enjoy the fabulous view of the entire Prahova Valley. The last stop will be at George Enescu's Memorial House, the most famous Romanian musician - five in one man - pianist, violonist, composer, conductor and a teacher. On to Brasov for check in, rest and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide and transfer to Bran. Discover if the vampire story is true or just a myth with our visit to the popular image of Dracula’s Castle, the Bran Castle. Tour ends. Transfer back to Brasov. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Bucharest for your flight back home.
