NOV 08 (THU) DEPART MANILA

NOV 09 (FRI) AMMAN, JORDAN ·  MT NEBO  ·  MADABA  ·  PETRA 

Upon arrival, transfer to the endearing Monastery in Mt. Nebo where Moses was given a view of the Promised Land. Then on to the beautiful city of Madaba, “The city of Mosaics” and enter St. Georges Church which cradles the oldest mosaic aap (AD560) of the Holy Land. Transfer to Petra.

NOV 10 (SAT) PETRA  ·  AMMAN                                                                                              

Today we visit one of the seven wonders of the world, the ancient Nabatean capital of PETRA . The tour proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose-Red City with its spectacular Treasury, Royal Tombs, Burial Chambers and high places of sacrifice. These still remain in a condition of staggering perfection as it was more than 2,000 years ago.

NOV 11 (SUN) AMMAN · ALLENBY BRIDGE  ·  MT. TABOR· TIBERIAS

Transfer to Allenby Border to cross to Israel. Drive to Mt. Tabor where according to tradition the miracle of the Transfiguration of Christ took place. In remembrance of this, the Church of Transfiguration was built in 1923.  On to Tiberias for check-in, dinner and overnight.

NOV 12 (MON) NAZARETH  ·  BOAT RIDE  · MT. OF BEATITUDES · CAPERNAUM · JORDAN RIVER

After breakfast, we drive to north to Nazareth and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation erected over the grotto where the archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would be the mother of Christ.  Nearby, visit the Church of St. Joseph. Drive back to the Galilee area and view the ancient boat believed to have been used during the time of Jesus. Then ride a boat to the Sea of Galilee as Jesus and the apostles did. Drive up the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Then proceed to Capernaum where Jesus went to live after He left Nazareth. See the church built over the ruins of what was believed as the house of St. Peter. Our final stop will be at Yardenit, a traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River for a memorable renewal of baptismal vows.

NOV 13 (TUE) TABGHA  ·  CANA · JERUSALEM

Visit the Benedictine Church of the Multiplication and Church of St. Peter’s Primacy. Proceed to Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle at the request of His mother. Couples get a chance to renew their marriage vows during Holy Mass. We end the day going up to Mt. Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem.

NOV 14 (WED) EIN KAREM ·  BETHLEHEM

Drive to Ein Karem to see the birthplace of John the Baptist. Then to the Church of the Visitation where Mary went to see her cousin. Proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity built over the tomb of St. Geronimo. See the silver star which marks the place of Jesus’ birth. Next door to the Church of the Nativity is the Roman Catholic church of St. Catherine. Walk to the Milk Grotto, where according to tradition, Mary nursed Jesus here and spilled a drop of milk, turning the ground white. Set foot on Shepherd’s Field where angels appeared to the shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus. 

NOV 15 (THU) OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM  ·  MT ZION ·  ST PETER GALLICANTU

Drive to the Old City of Jerusalem.  First stop at St. Anne’s Church and the pool of Bethesda.  Walk along the Via Dolorosa, also called the “Way of the Cross” and end up at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.   Proceed to Mt. Zion and visit the room of the Last Supper, King David’s Tomb and the Church of Dormition, where the Blessed Virgin Mary fell into eternal sleep. Continue on to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Peter denied Jesus three times.

NOV 16 (FRI) MT. OF OLIVES ·  WAILING WALL ·  JERICHO ·  DEAD SEA   

Drive up the Mount of Olives stopping at the Church of the Ascension then the Church of Pater Noster. Walk along the Palm Sunday Road ending at the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Witness worship at the Wailing Wall, the holiest site for the Jewish nation.  On to Jericho, believed to be the oldest city in the world to view the Mt. of Temptation. Proceed to the Dead Sea where you will get the chance to float in its mineral rich and therapeutic waters. 

NOV 17 (SAT) JERUSALEM  ·  ALLENBY BORDER ·  AMMAN / MANILA 

Drive back to Allenby Border to cross to Jordan. Transfer to Amman International Airport for our departure flight to Manila.
