Journey begins from Yangon, the gateway to Myanmar

Travel to Bagan and discover the magic of more than 2,000 ancient temples, stupas and pagodas.

Proceed to Lake Inle to discover its floating gardens, floating markets and famous leg rowers of the area. Drive to Nyaung Shwe to explore the culture and lifestyle of the southern Shan State area. Visit the local production house of lotus treads and weaving for its finest, soft scarves and shawls.

Return to Yangon to discover the enthralling old colonial buildings, bustling markets, restful parks and tranquil lakes.

JAN 12 (FRI) MANILA / YANGON                                                                                                                 


Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport  for flight to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay and proceed to Amarapura and observe the traditional silk weaving cottage industries at Thein Nyo for its intricte techniques by hand and foot operated looms of the old tradition. Highlights also include the workshops of traditional gold-leaf making and embroidery works. Enjoy the beautiful sunset at the spectacular tak bridge of U Bein. Proceed to Mandalay and overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.


Breakfast at the Hotel. Visit the local Jade market and the rest of Mandalay attractions for the day. Highlights include Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 marble stone stabs of Buddhist scriptures; the Mahamuni Pagoda, revered as one of the holiest pagodas in Myanmar; the Golden Palace (Shwe Kyaung) monastery, the beautiful teak monastery famous for its intricate wood carving. A short break in the afternoon. Enjoy the magnificent view of the sunset and the surrounding countryside from atop the Mandalay Hill. Overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.


Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and proceed for a scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano and an oasis in the dry zone of central Myanmar. Arrive Mount Popa and enjoy the fabulous view of the Popa Taungkalat, home to Myanmar’s intriguing ‘nats’ (spirits) and surroundings from atop. Return to Bagan in the late afternoon. A brief stop on the way to observe the traditional production of palm sugar and visit colorful Nyaung Oo Market with varieties of local produce. Highlights of the day also include the famous lacquer ware works of Bagan.

 JAN 16 (TUE) BAGAN                          

Enjoy the beautiful sunrise of Bagan with an early morning start. Optional: BalloonRide in Bagan  USD 300 per person Sightseeing around the great plains of Bagan including the Anada Temple of four huge standing Buddha images and numerous figures in niches around the galleried interior; the Thatinnyu known as ‘temple of omniscience’; Ngakywe Nadaung Pagoda, Pahto Thamya Temple, Nat Hlaung Kyung Temple and Htilo Minlo Temple. At leisure in the  afternoon. Observe the sunset in the vicinity of one of Bagan’s ancient monuments Shwe Sandaw and experience the horse cart ride in the evening.

 JAN 17 (WED) BAGAN - HEHO - INLE        

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Arrive Heho and proceed by car to the old capital of Shan State, Nyaung Shwe and visit the Red Mountain Estate Vineyards and Winery on the way. Continue by boat to the Lake Inle. Observe the floating gardens and Inn Thar style, unique one legged method of fishing along the way.


Breakfast at the Hotel. Set out for a fascinating boat ride to In-Dein village through the In-Dein creek. Explore the In-Dein Pagoda complex of hundreds of Shan style stupas dating back to the 16th century. Highlights of excursion for the day also include Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the southern Shan States; the weaving village of Impawkhon; blacksmith, cheroot making and other traditional handicrafts workshops at Nan Pan village; and the famous “Intha Heritage House” which belongs to Burmese Cats.   

 JAN 19 (FRI) INLE - HEHO - YANGON                           

Breakfast at the hotel. At leisure till transfer to Nyaung Shwe by boat and continue to Heho Airport by car for domestic flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and visit the sprawling Bogoyke aung San Market  (SCOTT Market) with its abundance of stalls selling gems and jewellery, lacquerware, wood carvings, silverware, paintings and other handicraft. Highlights also include the national heritages and colonial architecture of downtown Yangon. Visit the glittering Shwedagon Pagoda with its amazing mix of pavilions, stupas, images and bells in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
