Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight.
In the morning, visit the reindeer farm and get a chance to ride reindeer sleds. Have lunch in the farm area and continue to the frozen Korouoma Falls. The ride passes through snowy landscapes in an area of coniferous forests. We will take a short walk to the waterfalls.
Early in the morning, we cross the border into Sweden. Enjoy an exciting adventure on an icebreaker in Bothnian Bay. We will learn the boat’s unique ability, which breaks through vast blocks of ice to clear the way for the supply ships that bring vital supplies to the area’s residents. After the cruise, we will visit a Swedish fishing village next to the river, a natural border between Sweden and Finland.
In the morning, drive to Ranua Wildlife Park. We will see rare wild animals that have adapted to the arctic climate of Lapland; among others, we will see the white polar bear. After, we ride a dog sled through a unique, breathtaking wilderness region covered in ice. When the weather and predictions for the appearance of the “Northern Lights” indicate a chance of seeing the phenomenon, we will head out in the evening after dinner to a desolate area where we can watch the unique “Aurora Borealis.”
Today, we have a fantastic opportunity to experience motorized snow sleds – snowmobiles. After that, we will go up with the help of a cable car to a height of about 300 meters for a spectacular view of the mountains in the largest ski resort in Finland. In the afternoon, relax at the hotel with an outdoor jacuzzi to spice your stay.
In the morning, we will go karting in racing cars equipped with special tires adapted to the harsh winter conditions. From there, we continue to an open area, where we will get special snowshoes, and after a short lesson, we will walk on the soft snow, like the Sami. After lunch, continue to visit the largest ice palace in Finland.
After breakfast, we return to Rovaniemi and Visit the “Arktikum” museum to discover more about life in the Arctic Circle in general and the Rovaniemi region in particular, the “Northern Lights” phenomena, and the seasonal changes in the
flora and fauna. Continue with a visit to the traditional village of “Santa Claus,” the familiar figure of Lapland associated with Christmas. Next enjoy free time for shopping in a heated mall. Special farewell dinner in a traditional "Kota".
Early check out (coffee and refreshments at the lobby) and transfer to the airport for our flight back to Manila
