DAY 01 APR 16 DEPART MANILA

DAY 02 APR 17 ARRIVE BUDAPEST, HUNGARY

Upon arrival at the airport, meet with guide and proceed to the hotel for early lunch and check in. Time to rest and relax and prepare for our highlight welcome dinner as we Cruise along the Danube River.

DAY 03 APR 18 BUDAPEST

After breakfast at the hotel, commence with half day tour of this Hungarian capital, Budapest. See the Castle District. Walk around the Andrassy Avenue. Visit Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion. The next stop is the Citadel on the Gellert Hill, where the best panoramic view of Budapest can be seen. 

DAY 04 APR 19 BUDAPEST - BELGRADE

Check out and on to our journey to Belgrade. Belgrade, capital of Serbia, is one of the oldest cities in Europe. A city rich in history that lies on two rivers, is now a modern city with numerous sights still worth visiting - Belgrade Fortress, St. Sava Church, the River Danube, and more. 

DAY 05 APR 20 BELGRADE - SKOPJE, MACEDONIA

Transfer to Skopje. Tour starts at the plateau where the Museum of Contemporary Art is located, then to the Fortress Kare, Mustapha Pasha Mosque, Church of the Holy Saviour (with the small museum of Gove Delchev). Continue through the Old Hammam dating back to the 15th century. Visit the modern part of the city on the right bank of the River Vardar. See the Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia and the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence, IMRO and the Victims of Communism. Then cross the Stone Bridge, the oldest landmark of Skopje. On the other bank is the main square with newer statues and monuments.

DAY 06 APR 21 SKOPJE - OHRID

Today, we travel to one of Macedonia’s treasure, Ohrid. Walk through the Lower Gate to the Archeological museum in the Robev family house with some ancient artifacts including a statue of the Goddess Isis. Continue to the 11th century Church of St. Sofia, the ancient theater from the 2nd century BC and the beautiful icons at the Church of St. Mary Perivleptos. Get fantastic views of Ohrid Lake from the medieval walls of Samuil Fortress. Visit the burial place of St. Kliment, and the newly reconstructed Church of St. Pantelejmon. 

DAY 07 APR 22 OHRID

After breakfast, meet with guide and transfer to the wharf to enjoy a Boat Ride to the other side of the Ohrid lake, where the Monastery of St. Naum stands gloriously on the Lake’s shores. Upon arrival, enjoy nature, visit the famous springs and admire the crystal-clear water.

DAY 08 APR 23 OHRID - RILA MONASTERY, BULGARIA

Early morning check-out and transfer to Sofia passing by the Rila. Enjoy a guided visit of famous Rila Monastery, the biggest spiritual and cultural center in Bulgaria. Highlight dinner with folklore show at Chevermeto, then proceed to Sofia for check in, rest and overnight.

DAY 09 APR 24 RILA MONASTERY - SOFIA

Proceed with our city tour of one of Bulgaria's most significant historical treasures, Sofia. Explore this city with a 7000-year long history. Visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Rotunda of St George, and the Russian Church. See the Banya Bashi Mosque and the Great Synagogue.

DAY 10 APR 25 SOFIA - VELIKO TARNOVO

Free time after breakfast until check out then drive to Veliko Tarnovo. Explore this capital of medieval Bulgaria. See the Tsarevets Royal hill above the river Yantra then visit the Samovodska market place.

DAY 11 APR 26 VELIKO TARNOVO - BUCHAREST, ROMANIA

Today, we cross to Romania reaching its capital, Bucharest. Visit the House of the People or the House of Parliament and the house where Ceausescu lived. Walk around the Old Town of Bucharest and lastly, a photo-stop to the Palatul Voievodal Curtea Veche, a large palace from the reign of Vlad III Dracula in the 15th century. 

DAY 12 APR 27 BUCHAREST

Another special day after breakfast, as arrangements have been made for this group to go to the Snagov Monastery. On the way, our guide introduces us to Romania’s history and dark period of Communism. Walk over a metal bridge and reach the small island where we have the chance to visit the monastery, admire its decorated interiors and hear its legends. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then proceed to Mogosoaia. Be charmed by the long alley guarded by beautiful old trees that takes you to the Palace’s court. Mogosoaia’s palace impresses through its original architectural style, beautiful garden and country style atmosphere. The visit inside the castle will offer us more information about the Brancoveanu noble family, known also as the “Prince of Gold”. 

DAY 13 APR 28 BUCHAAREST - SINAIA - BRASOV

Check out after breakfast and transfer to Brasov through Sinaia. First stop will be Sinaia Monastery, called the Cathedral of the Carpatians. Next on our list are two of the most beautiful castles of Romania, Peles and Pelisor Castles with stopping at 1400 m altitude, to enjoy the fabulous views of the entire Prahova Valley. Last stop will be at George Enescu's Memorial House. He is Romania’s most famous musician, a five-in-one man: pianist, violinist, composer, conductor and a teacher. 

DAY 14 APR 29 BRASOV - DRACULA CASTLE - BRASOV

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with guide and transfer to Bran. Come with us and discover if the vampire story is true or just a myth as we visit the popular image of Dracula’s Castle, the Bran Castle. 

DAY 15 APR 30 BRASOV - BUCHAREST / MANILA

Early morning departure from Brasov hotel and drive to Bucharest. Free time until transfer to the airport for onward flight back home
